You'll Be Shocked At How Nudists and Naturists Boost The Florida Economy

The American Association for Nude Recreation - Florida released "The Economic Impact of Nude Tourism & Recreation in Florida" which revealed that nonsexual nudist and naturist recreation has a $7.4 billion economic impact in the Sunshine State.
For example, Haulover Beach in Sunny Isles just north of Miami receives 500,000 nudist sunbathers per year earning the city $980,000 in just parking fees alone!
How many other cities could benefit from an extra million dollars in income?
Imagine how much more is earned through purchases, shopping and dining! You don't have to imagine, "The Economic Impact of Nude Tourism & Recreation in Florida" tells us.
There are 34 nudist / naturist resorts in Florida.
There are 5,100 rooms at those nudist / naturist resorts.
Two million annual nudist / naturist visitors booked 1.2 million rooms.
There are 22 million annual nudist / naturist visitor nights booked each year.
Nudists and naturists directly spend $4.3 billion each year in Florida and make a $7.4 billion economic impact annually.
According to "The Economic Impact of Nude Tourism & Recreation in Florida," the clothing optional Haulover Beach brings a total economic impact of "well over $720 million."
For those who are wondering if nudity is legal in Florida, "The Economic Impact of Nude Tourism & Recreation in Florida" says, "Florida’s courts have drawn a clear distinction between mere nudity and lewd or lascivious behavior and have granted nudists throughout the State the right to participate in nude recreation without fear of arrest or prosecution; mere nudity is not lewd activity, nor a crime. In order for there to be a violation of the indecent exposure statute (§800.03, Fla. Stat.), there must be a “lascivious” exhibition of sexual organs; mere nudity alone is not a violation. Goodmakers v. State, 450 So. 2d 888 (Fla. 2d DCA 1984); Hoffman v. Carson, 250 So.2d 891 (Fla. 1971)."
A Zogby Poll revealed that nearly one-third of American adults would consider going to a clothing optional beach.
Florida is already a thriving tourist destination for nudists and naturists.
Florida's official tourism agency VISIT FLORIDA publishes a webpage listing nude beaches to visit.
There is plenty room at Florida beaches for everyone.
Imagine what cities like Titusville, Fort Pierce, West Palm Beach, Clearwater, Naples, Jacksonville and others could do for their citizens with an additional $720 million or even just the $980,000 parking revenue.
It is time for the Sunshine State to use common sense and create safe spaces for nudists and naturists to have their place in the sun. We can support an already established market and effortlessly bring in billions of dollars of new revenue to our cities and counties.
