Charente Soleil is a little North of Angouleme and is an easy half day drive from Caen or Le Havre, a few hours more from Calais or Eurotunnel. Limoges and Poitiers airports are 1 hour by hire car. Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Bergerac are about 2 hours.
